Along with helping them understand the physiological aspects of their panic attack this grounding exercise encourages them to pay attention to their surroundings and evaluate if there is a threat by naming out loud;

5️⃣ Five things you can see
4️⃣ Four things you can touch
3️⃣ Three things you can hear
2️⃣ Two things you can smell
1️⃣ One think you can taste
